Semi Permanent Makeup technicians are popping up faster than those little critters on ‘Whack A Mole’ and people are falling for it faster than Alice fell down the Rabbit hole, except when they land, they are in more of a nightmare than a dream and they won’t be waking up from it any time soon.
At Medicare, we can pluck your eyebrows to help us define the drawn on template, we are trained in drawing on your eyebrows to match your face – but we won’t wax or thread them… why? Because that is not our area of expertise.
We ourselves train aspiring technicians in Semi Permanent Make-up on a monthly basis from our clinic, we encourage learning and expanding your abilities. What we are trying to discourage is basing your choice of technician on friendship and the familiar.
We are asking you to go against these instincts and base your decision to have your face tattooed on not just certificates but experience, portfolios and premises. Perhaps it means that after having your acrylics done you have to jump in the car and drive for another twenty minutes to get your eyebrows tattooed, at the time, that may seem like a pain in the bum and it would be much more convenient to have everything done at one place but trust us, you wouldn’t be getting anywhere fast if your treatment ended up botched.
We urge you to ask questions, make your decisions with your head and not your heart and most importantly, do your research.
