It’s a feeling she feared she’d never again experience – but the wind blowing through her hair at the seaside was pure heaven for Emma Coughlan.

We told last year how Emma, of Redcar, lost her hair through alopecia and set about helping others in the same situation by setting up as a semi-permanent make-up practitioner.

Former Rye Hills School pupil Emma had almost resigned herself to a life wearing wigs. Yet, unexpectedly, her hair began to grow back – and it’s kept growing.

After four years with no hair, it has grown back in just four months.
Now Emma is using her experiences to help a charity.
